Club Members,
Street Survivors and Friends,
September was a very busy month for car shows and I don’t know about you, but all the shows I attended, I was impressed with and hope they do another show again next season. Many members participated in in these different shows and their vehicles won trophies, congratulations to all of you!
Many members and people that come to our lot on Friday have started their October by attending Crusin in Ocean City. Everywhere I went, there was someone from the lot and it was great to see. No matter where you look, Street Survivors of Maryland shirts, hats, and jackets were passing you. So great to see and even better knowing that people are proud to support our club and put us on display.
Just a couple of weeks away from our trunk or treat night on October 24th. We always have a good showing of vehicles and trick or treaters, so please be prepared for a fun and scary night. Some have given me a clue as to what they are doing to dress up their vehicles and I assure you, there will be no disappointment. Shortly after the Halloween show is our Veteran’s Day Show, our biggest show of the year. This year, we have added some minor things to the show and we hope you all like it. We are still in need of baked goods, baskets, door prize items, donations and sponsors. All proceeds from this show are donated to the Veterans.
For anyone helping us achieve our goal of 3,500 Hot Wheels and Match Box cars for Toys for Tots, we are closer to our goal of 3,500, but are still short. We are taking monetary donations which will be given to Toys for Tots in December if anyone wishes to go that avenue.
In case you didn’t get a chance to get everything out of your garage, basement, or attics, now is your chance! Every year we have our Christmas Show and auction. Anything you wish to donate will be auctioned off during the show to raise money for Alzheimers. In addition to the auction, we will be asking for basket and bake sale donation
Many of our members, family, and friends, have been experiencing health issues. Please keep them in your heart and prayers.
Feel free to contact any Board Member with questions or comments.
